During the early morning hours of April 24th, 2016, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Officer Kathy Alvarez was driving along U.S.-1 on her way to work. As she approached SW 112th street, she came across a vehicle crash, where a driver struck a palm tree head-on causing his vehicle to catch on fire.

U. S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) recognized two term Doral councilmember Ana Maria Rodriguez with the Good Neighbor Award for her efforts supporting  Florida House Bill 1073 and Senate Bill 1656.

Doral celebrates Earth Day, by hosting an Eco-Fair during our 6th Annual “Keep Doral Beautiful Fair” on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Downtown Doral Park.

Doral’s City Council unanimously approved a Sister City Agreement with the City of Oranjestad, Aruba on April 13th. A Sister Cities signing ceremony and reception will take place on May 6th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Doral Government Center.
