The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County Tobacco Prevention and Control Program and Tobacco Free Florida are observing World No Tobacco Day by raising awareness about cigarette litter, which adds up to an estimated 1.69 billion pounds of litter worldwide per year.

The 2017 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday has been passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Rick Scott.

The City of Doral is joining the American Public Works Association (APWA) to honor the 2017 National Public Works Week.  This year, from May 21st  to 27th , we celebrate the contributions of Public Works professionals to the communities they serve.

This year it was two great celebrations on one day! The first annual Earth Day & Art Walk event brought together over 60 local exhibitors, art displays, live music, DJ & FUN raising emcee, raffles, food trucks, a flash mob dance crew, and a diversity of activities for the entire family.

For the eighth consecutive year, the City of Doral has been recognized as a 2017 “Playful City USA” by the national non-profit KaBOOM!, an organization that advocates balanced and active play for children, as an essential component in enabling them to thrive.

MAU Park is the newest park coming to Doral as part of the new Police Substation project, thanks to a public-private partnership between the City and Millennia Atlantic University, that was unanimously approved by the City Council at the May 10th Council Meeting.
