The City is proud to announce that Edward A. Rojas, has been recently elected as the 2017-2018 President of the Miami-Dade City and County Management Association (MDCCMA). The MDCCMA represents 32 municipalities who regularly meet to network and share best practices.

In the wake of the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey, individuals may want to donate to help affected residents. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett are urging people who wish to help affected residents to donate money to recognized charities that are currently engaged in the response and recovery.

On August 29, 2017, Doral will come together to support resident and singing extraordinaire, Angelina Green, at a watch party at Carolina Ale House. The community will be cheering on the young star when she appear on the “America’s Got Talent” stage for Season 12 of the NBC reality competition this Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Expect delays from August 28 - September 1 on NW 107 Avenue from 9am - 4pm, due to lane closures.

Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez has been appointed to the Florida League of Mayors’ Board of Directors. The board is comprised of 21 mayors from across the state of Florida. It provides mayors a forum to jointly discuss issues faced by their municipalities and share ideas to achieve solutions and best practices for their respective cities.

On Saturday, August 12, 2017, the Mayor and Council proudly welcomed the residents and members of the community to the highly-anticipated, Doral Legacy Park. The ceremonial ribbon cutting and plaque unveiling was witnessed by the thousands in attendance excited to tour this state-of-the-art facility, explore the sports complex and enjoy its many amenities.

On August 14th, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation named 107 Knight Arts Challenge Miami finalists and the City of Doral was one of them! If chosen, the grant would fund the Ritmo Doral event.

The City of Doral has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA), for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for its Annual Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2016.

The Doral City Council invites residents and members of the community to the Doral Legacy Park Grand Opening on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Join us for the ceremonial ribbon cutting and plaque unveiling, as well as FREE BBQ, games, music, sports demos and more.

This sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017.
