The 2018 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday was passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Rick Scott. This sales tax holiday begins Friday, June 1, 2018 and extends through Thursday, June 7, 2018.

We are very proud of the brave officers from both the Doral and Miami-Dade Police Departments who heroically responded to an active shooter situation at Trump National Doral earlier this morning. Our priority is always the safety of our residents, businesses and visitors, which today was heroically protected thanks to the seamless collaboration between these law enforcement agencies.
Early Friday morning, police units heroically responded to the Trump Resort in regards to an armed gunman in the lobby of the resort. Both Miami-Dade County and Doral Police units responded to the call.
Hurricane season is quickly approaching and the City of Doral wants to remind everyone that the time to prepare is now! Doral, as well as the rest of the County and State, are in the potential path of hurricanes. Which is why it is imperative that you review your family and business’s plan and hurricane supplies sooner rather than later.
