On September 7, 2018, the Doral Government Center will celebrate Brazil’s rich culture and diversity with the Doral Hearts Brazil event.

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County is conducting a Wellbeing Survey to identify the needs, opinions, and views of Miami-Dade County residents as it relates to the communities where they reside. The feedback of our residents is vital in helping us identify the most important issues facing the community.

For a second time, the City of Doral was awarded a Street Tree Matching Grant by Neat Streets Miami for its City Street Tree Restoration Project in the amount of $24,500. In its third year, Neat Streets Miami’s street tree program awarded 14 organizations matching grants to advance the Million Trees Miami initiative, a community-wide effort to expand Miami-Dade County’s tree canopy and reach a million trees by 2020.

At the August 8th Council Meeting, Mayor & Council approved moving forward with a Memo of Understanding (MOU) with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) for increased school safety in Doral.

Since the City’s incorporation 15 years ago, Doral has experienced great growth in the number of programs available for the community to enjoy, particularly in the arts. The latest program, Inside|Out, is in partnership with Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County’s Immunization Program is urging parents to check their children’s immunization record to see if they are due for a vaccine.

The City has just revamped its Façade Improvement Program to provide more entities with an opportunity to receive grant funding up to $10,000 per property, for façade improvements.
