Please be advised that there WILL NOT be a sandbag distribution for the public. Sandbag distributions result in residents waiting in line for long periods of time and wasting gas for a limited amount of sand bags that would not be sufficient to effectively protect a home from a significant flooding event.

Curbside waste and recycling collection services will continue normal operations on Thursday, August 29th and Friday, August 30th. Following service, residents are encouraged to secure their waste and recycling carts in their garage, storage/utility shed, carport or patio to prevent the carts from becoming projectiles during strong winds or floating away during heavy rains.

As Hurricane Dorian develops, City of Doral officials continue to monitor the potential threat from the Doral Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and make preparations to ensure the safety of the community. A Doral Hurricane Hotline has been opened, for any inquiries – please call 786-871-1465. If you have an emergency, please call 911.

On August 23, 2019, the Doral Mayor and City Council, along with several South Florida leaders, came together to celebrate the co-designation of NW 30th Terrace as Univision Way outside of the Univision Newport location.

The Miami-Dade County Health Department is offering free back-to-school immunizations to children between the ages of 2 and 18 on August 17th.

On August 6, 2019, the Doral Police Department and the Parks & Police 4 Kids (PP4K) Foundation joined forces with sponsors and partners for National Night Out and Back to School, presented by Jackson Health.

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County (DOH-Miami-Dade) today confirmed a locally-acquired case of Dengue in the Miami-Dade County community. There is a heightened concern of additional residents becoming ill.

On August 2, 2019, the Mayor and City Council inaugurated the highly anticipated Doral Glades Park. This is the City’s first environmental park and only nature center within Northwest Miami-Dade. The state-of-the-art facility which is a homage to the unique environment of the Florida everglades.

On July 15th, the City of Doral Public Works Department began a construction project to continue making our roads smoother and safer! This project included the road improvements of NW 114th avenue from NW 58th street to NW 74th street and NW 117th avenue 600 feet north of NW 25th street that included the repair of sidewalks, road striping and, milling and resurfacing.
