At the Holiday Lights & Ice celebration, the Mayor and Council had the honor of announcing this year's Holiday Card Contest Winner, Luisana Leon, a 9 year old 4th grader from Doral International Academy of Math and Science.

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County (DOH-Miami-Dade) is under a mosquito-borne illness alert. Two cases of dengue fever of local transmission have been confirmed in Miami-Dade residents. These cases are geographically linked to a travel-related case. Miami-Dade County has fourteen local cases in 2019.

Please be advised that the City of Doral Government Center will be closed on Tuesday, December 31st at noon and all day on Wednesday, January 1st, in observance of the New Year.  All parks will remain open, please visit our website for  holiday park hours. Low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to Florida small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses and private nonprofit organizations affected by Hurricane Dorian from  Aug. 28 through Sept. 9, 2019.

 Miami-Dade County Elections Department is recruiting for Election Day poll workers for the 2020 Presidential Elections Cycle. Election Day duties include Monday set up and Tuesday Election Day duties.

On Sunday, December 1st the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County recognized World AIDS Day. Each year on December 1, people around the world observe World AIDS Day. The day provides an opportunity to show solidarity for those affected by HIV and memorialize those who have lost their lives to the disease.
