On Friday, July 31st, the Mayor and City Council held a Virtual Special Council to discuss CARES Act Funding appropriated to Miami-Dade County from the State of Florida in an amount of approximately $474 billion dollars for coronavirus relief.
On July 28th, Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez sent a letter on behalf of the City of Doral to Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez, opposing the new detention center facility located at 6950 NW 41 Street.

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) provides a one-time benefit to assist with one month’s rent to Miami-Dade County low and moderate income households experiencing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Per Miami-Dade County, effective 9:00 a.m. on July 2, 2020, Emergency Order 20-20 is amended to state that all persons throughout Miami-Dade County shall wear a mask or other facial covering when in public.
