COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Miami-Dade County continues coordinating closely with hospital and healthcare partners, the State of Florida, cities, and private partners to vaccinate members of our community against the coronavirus (COVID-19) as quickly, safely and equitably as possible.
 
Individuals 18 years of age or older who live in Florida may receive the COVID-19 vaccine as outlined in the  Governor's Executive Order. Minors 16 and 17 years of age may receive the Pfizer vaccine but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the vaccination site.

• Appointments are not required to receive the vaccine at one of the  County drive-thru vaccination sites. For a faster registration process on-site, residents are encouraged to  sign up online for appointments or by calling  305-614-2014.
• The Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine is being offered at the Miami Dade College North Campus. The CDC and FDA advises women younger than 50 years old to be aware of the rare risk of blood clots with low platelets after vaccination, and that other COVID-19 vaccines are available where this risk has not been seen.

• Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, United Way of Miami-Dade and Uber formed a partnership to provide more than 20,000 free Uber rides to vaccination sites. Please review the  Instructions for Using Uber in Miami-Dade flyer. Rides must begin or end at an approved vaccine site.
   
• Homebound individuals can  register online to be contacted to schedule a vaccination appointment at home. For more information, call  833-930-3672 or email  homeboundvaccines@cdrmaguire.com.

For sites that require an appointment, you must first pre-register online at  MyVaccine.FL.gov or by calling  1-888-499-0840 (TTY#: 1-888-256-8918). You will be contacted by email or phone when first dose appointments become available. Second dose appointments are scheduled on site immediately after individuals receive their first dose.
