CALLING ALL ARTISTS! City of Doral will taking proposals to purchase art!
The City of Doral has launched a Call to Artists requesting proposals from artists for the acquisition of works of art to be installed within the City of Doral. Proposals must be submitted prior to the deadline on December
8, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. to Elizabeth.Alvarez@cityofdoral.com. Selected works of art will be installed in the City during
Summer 2022.
The goal of the Call to Artists is to foster community pride and convey the sense of the Doral community through public art. The art should reflect the neighborhood and the City’s identity as the “premier City to live, work, learn and play”. It
is also encouraged that proposed art highlight the components that make “Doral Shine”, such as sense a of family, unity, peace, and multiculturalism. Possible opportunities for public art include, but are not limited to sculptures, lighting features,
fountains, and monuments.
This Call to Artists is part of the City’s Public Arts Program that aims to create a stimulating cultural environment that reflects and enhances the City’s heritage, diversity, quality of life, and character through public artworks integrated in
the architecture, infrastructure, and landscape of our city.
Interested artists must visit the City’s website for all project guidelines and application requirements.

¡LLAMANDO A TODOS LOS ARTISTAS! ¡La ciudad de Doral aceptará propuestas para comprar arte!
La Ciudad de Doral ha lanzado una Convocatoria a Artistas solicitando propuestas de artistas para la adquisición de obras de arte para ser instaladas en la Ciudad de Doral. Las propuestas deben enviarse antes de la fecha límite del 8
de diciembre de 2021 a las 5:00 p.m. a Elizabeth.Alvarez@cityofdoral.com. Las obras de arte seleccionadas se instalarán
en la ciudad durante el verano de 2022.
El objetivo de Call to Artists es fomentar el orgullo de la comunidad y transmitir el sentido de la comunidad de Doral a través del arte público. El arte debe reflejar el vecindario y la identidad de la Ciudad como el "lugar principal para vivir,
trabajar, aprender y jugar". También se alienta que el arte propuesto resalte componentes como el sentido de familia, unidad, paz y multiculturalismo. Las posibles oportunidades para el arte público incluyen, entre otras, esculturas, elementos
de iluminación, fuentes y monumentos.
Esta convocatoria es parte del Programa de Artes Públicas de la Ciudad que tiene como objetivo crear un entorno cultural estimulante que refleje y mejore el patrimonio, la diversidad, la calidad de vida y el carácter de la Ciudad a través de obras
de arte públicas integradas en la arquitectura, la infraestructura y el paisaje de nuestra ciudad.

del proyecto y los requisitos de solicitud.
