City Council Resolves to Keep PGA Tour in Doral

Doral, FL – Mayor Luigi Boria and resolution author, Councilman Pete Cabrera, along with Vice Mayor Christi Fraga and Councilwoman Ana Maria Rodriguez, will hold a press conference following the 4 to 1 vote, urging the PGA Tour to uphold 54 years of tradition and keep tournament golf in Doral.

The resolution recognized the partnership between the PGA Tour and the community that grew up around the legendary golf course created by Doris and Alfred Kaskel, not only in the form of the economic benefits to the region, but also recognizing the generous charitable contributions to the PGA tour gives to the various organizations in South Florida.

The press conference will take place on Wednesday, March 2^nd, at 2:00 p.m. in the first floor conference room of the Doral Government Center, 8401 NW 53^rd Terrace, Doral, FL 33166.

Resolución del Consejo a Mantener el PGA Tour en Doral

Doral, FL – El Alcalde Luigi Boria, el concejal Pete Cabrera, autor de la resolución, Vice Alcaldesa Christi Fraga y Concejal Ana Maria Rodriguez llevaran a cabo una rueda de prensa tras la votación de 4 a 1, en el Ayuntamiento de Doral exhortando al PGA Tour a mantener el torneo de golf en la ciudad continuando así con una tradición que lleva 54 años en la comunidad de Doral.

La resolución reconoce la asociación entre el PGA Tour y la comunidad que creció en torno al legendario campo de golf creado por Doris y Alfred Kaskel; no sólo como beneficio económico y recreativo para la región, sino también como reconocimiento de las generosas contribuciones que el PGA Tour ha otorgado a las distintas organizaciones caritativas en el sur de la Florida.

La conferencia de prensa tendrá lugar el miércoles 2 de marzo, a las 14:00 en la sala de conferencias del primer piso del Centro de Gobierno de Doral, 8401 NW 53rd Terraza, Doral, FL 33166.
