City of Doral Additional Program and Meeting Suspensions 
Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Doral, FL - As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation in South Florida continues to evolve, the City of Doral remains in contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Florida Department of Health and Miami-Dade County, following their guidelines to safeguard our community from the possible spread of the virus.
 
Effective March 16th at 5:00 p.m., the following will be closed/cancelled in compliance with the CDC’s mandate of limiting gatherings of 50 people or more:

  • All Community/Nature Centers will be closed: Doral Legacy Park Community Center, Morgan Levy Park Community Center, Doral Glades Park Community & Nature Center
  • All programs, sports practices & games will be postponed until further notice
  • Spring Break Camps have been cancelled
  • All Park Rentals (indoor & outdoor) will be postponed until further notice and we’ll not be accepting any new rentals during this time
  • All park outdoor restrooms will remain openElection Polling Site at Morgan Levy Park will continue as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 3/17)
  • Council Zoning Meetings scheduled for March 18th has been cancelled

During this time all parks remain open under normal operating hours (outdoor spaces, passive parks & playgrounds). 

City staff continues to regularly disinfect the parks and hand sanitizer stations have been placed at parks. The community is encouraged to wash their hands frequently and practice “social distancing.”

Miami-Dade County has also ordered that beginning March 16th, all bars and restaurants in the county must close their doors by 11:00 p.m. every night. Restaurants must close their dining rooms by 11:00 p.m., but restaurant kitchens may remain open for delivery and takeout. Additionally, all bars, clubs, restaurants, and movie theaters in Miami- Dade County were ordered to cut their capacity by 50 percent, up to a maximum of 250 patrons at a time, regardless of original capacity. This also applies to banquet halls and hotels facilitating the practice of “social distancing,” which is defined as leaving about six feet of space between persons. The City of Doral will be enforcing the compliance of these measures with assistance from Miami-Dade County.
