Doral’s City Council unanimously approved a Sister City Agreement with the City of Oranjestad, Aruba on April 13th. A Sister Cities signing ceremony and reception will take place on May 6th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Doral Government Center.
Doral, FL – Doral’s City Council unanimously approved a Sister City Agreement with the City of Oranjestad, Aruba on April 13th. A SisterCities signing ceremony and reception will take place on May 6th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Doral Government Center.
Sister City agreements encourage active cooperation between municipalities and seek to stimulate bilateral trade. They invite citizens of both cities to engage in mutually beneficial cultural, educational and business interactions that will lead to a lasting friendship between the people of Oranjestad and Doral.
The signing ceremony will take place in the Doral Council Chambers with Mayor Luigi Boria signing for Doral. M.G. “Mike” Eman, Prime Minister of Aruba, is scheduled to sign on behalf of Oranjestad. The signing ceremony will be followed by a reception in the Doral Government Center Lobby and will include live music by renowned Aruban pianist Johnny Scharbaay.
