Doral, FL – Mayor Luigi Boria and the Doral City Council, joined by District 12 Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, broke ground on a roadway improvement project connecting NW 109 Ave and Doral Boulevard. This connection gives almost 900 households and several businesses an alternative to the heavily used NW 107th Avenue. This road connection will improve circulation and offer the community an alternative to driving. This new road has sidewalks, shared bicycle lanes and lighting, features that make it easier to leave your car at home. “This section of road is small but it represents big things. As part of our traffic solution triangle, we are aggressively connecting our roads to provide alternative routes and to better distribute traffic,” said Mayor Luigi Boria. To take full advantage of this project, the City is offering expedited processing of plans and permits for any of the adjacent developments to build a second entrance from 109th Avenue, further increasing the mobility of those residents.
