Doral, FL – The Doral City Council, joined by Jose “Pepe” Diaz the District 12 Miami-Dade County Commissioner, broke ground on a road building project connecting NW 102 Avenue and NW 97 Avenue. This is part of the City’s Traffic Solution Triangle of connecting our roads and providing alternative routes that alleviate traffic. “This may be a small section of road but it will have a big impact”, said Mayor Luigi Boria. This new roadway will enhance connectivity for hundreds of current and future households of the Atlantic, Neovita, Vintage, Mansions, Doral Palms, and Landmark communities, as well as parents picking up and dropping off students at the Doral International Math and Science Academy. Furthermore, this connection will help improve emergency response times for Doral Police and enhance connectivity for businesses in the area. The road will include three traffic lanes (one lane in each direction and one two-way left turn lane), drainage improvements, curb and gutters, street lighting, and bicycle shared use lanes.
