Doral Gears Up for New School Year with
FREE Supplies & Safety
Doral, FL – On August 6, 2019, the Doral Police Department and the Parks & Police 4 Kids (PP4K) Foundation joined forces with sponsors and partners for National Night Out and Back to School, presented by Jackson Health. This fun-filled
and informative annual event prepares families for back to school season with a giveaway of FREE backpacks and supplies. This year over 800 backpacks were given, more than any prior year. Police Officers were at the forefront, interacting with attendees
to offer tips on crime watch and public safety, as well as answering questions.
“Doral’s strong sense of community truly shines at this event with so many residents, sponsors and City departments coming together to prepare for the new school year as a family,” said Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez. “The safety and success of our youth
is paramount, and this event is just one of the many ways in which we continually support those priorities.”
