New Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez, was sworn in on Wednesday, January 25th. Families, friends and colleagues attended the ceremony in the City of Doral Council Chambers.
Chief Lopez was previously the Chief of Police for Miami-Dade Schools Police Department where his leadership exemplified his experience and knowledge that will be key in taking Doral Police Department to the next level. His proven track record in successfully hiring and retaining quality officers will be beneficial to Doral as our community continues to grow, requiring more police presence with an emphasis on community policing, and forward-thinking law enforcement strategies to keep our City safe.
