Forbidden Saints Rock Doral!
Doral, FL – Renowned world music super group, Forbidden Saints, enlivened Doral during the week of January 18th, with a Master’s Class for local youth musicians and a high energy outdoor concert in Downtown Doral Park.
The Forbidden Saints are a world music group, featuring Grammy® winning musicians and film score composers from Venezuela to Russia, and points in between, who blend seemingly incompatible sounds into an unforgettable musical collage. With impressive backgrounds, these musicians have traveled the world and worked with some of the world’s biggest musical legends.
With a cultural diversity much like the band itself, Doral is home to many talented music students with incredible talent and promise in the musical arts. A group of youth musicians enjoyed the unforgettable opportunity of collaborating with eight members of Forbidden Saints at a Master’s Class in the Doral Government Center. The students demonstrated their musical ablity to the band, learned techniques and received advice from these professional musicians. This was the first Master’s Class in the City of Doral’s history and reflects the City’s commitment to our youth as well as to the cultural and performing arts.
The Forbidden Saints Doral festivities culminated on Saturday when they performed a two-hour set for more than 600 attendees. The sounds of instruments, ranging from a harp, played with rock guitar intensity, to the exotic sound of a duduk, could be heard all over Downtown Doral Park. Fans danced and sang along to beautiful, original melodies and Latin favorites spiced with with musical influences from all over the world.
These type of world class events will continue to provide the community with opportunites to enjoy culture and further establish Doral as a force in South Florida’s diverse cultural scene.
