The Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) will be conducting a pilot survey in the Doral Trolleys and Freebee on the week of April 3rd, before the official onboard survey starts the following week. This survey is a valuable tool to obtain local ridership characteristics, such as origin-destination patterns and trip purposes, which help to inform the Federal Transit Administration’s Simplified-Trips-On-Project (STOPS) model. The STOPS model is an essential tool for estimating and forecasting ridership and helps evaluate significant transportation projects in our County for federal funding.
