Doral, FL - On June 17, 2020, the Miami-Dade County School Board approved the naming of two new schools in Doral. The K-8 center will be named after Ms. Andrea Castillo, teacher and the late daughter of School Board Member, Susie Castillo. The high school will be named after Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, founding and current Mayor of the City of Doral. The names were recommended to the school board by members of the community after various public meetings. “We are very proud that our City’s new educational institutions will honor two individuals that are well-known to our residents and made a great difference in the Doral community,” said Doral City Manager Albert P. Childress. JC Bermudez Doral Senior High School is located at 5005 NW 112 avenue, Doral, FL. 33178. Full capacity (9th thru 12th grades) is anticipated for the 2023-2024 school year. The Doral feeder pattern schools are John I. Smith and Eugenia B. Thomas (EBTK-8). JC Bermudez Doral Senior High School will offer the following programs in its first year: Cambridge, Veterinary Sciences, Nursing, Entrepreneurship, and JV Athletics.
