The City of Doral has been in communications with Miami-Dade County regarding the mosquito spray schedule for our area. The County has informed us that the spraying of the adulticide is dispatched to areas based on service requests to the County’s 311; as well as trap data, and landing rates.

With all the heavy rain the City has been receiving, we contacted Miami-Dade County regarding mosquito spraying. The County has informed us that the spraying of the adulticide is dispatched to areas based on service requests to the County’s 311; as well as trap data, and landing rates.

Doral residents are encouraged to call the County’s 311 directly to open service requests for mosquito spraying. In the interest of procuring the services with more urgency, the City will also report requests received through our Doral 311 system to the County to help aggregate future requests so that the need is identified in areas of Doral in a more timely manner. Once a service request is made, the County inspects the area for certain criteria including (mosquito) landing rates in order to ascertain whether spraying is necessary. The resulting spray schedules can be viewed here. We will continue working closely with them to address this issue.
