Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) is resuming the critical, proactive rehabilitation to portions of the 96-inch raw water main located along NW 74 Street in the nearby Town of Medley. An unforeseen underground gas line was identified during the excavation of Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s (WASD) 96-inch raw water main along NW 74 Street in the Town of Medley. This has caused an unexpected delay of the rehabilitation of this critical main. The gas utility is anticipating beginning relocating the conflicting gas line on Thursday, March 14. Once this is completed, an updated construction timeline will be provided and WASD will continue rehabilitating portions of the 96-inch raw water main. While water services currently remain unaffected, road closures and detours in the immediate construction area are still in place.
