The City of Doral is thankful to all our volunteer groups that have organized and rolled up their sleeves to pick up hundreds of pounds of litter from public spaces, streets, and rights-of-way to make an impact in the community and set an example. The Doral Cub Scouts Troop 552 cleaned almost two miles of trails collecting and removing more than 100 pounds of trash. The Doral Girls Scouts Troop 552 joined forces with Greater Ski of Miami to conduct a cleanup! Together they collected over 150 pounds of garbage from NW 95th Avenue from NW 25thStreet Southbound to the end of the street. The Doral Academy Green Club assembled over 25 volunteers to clean up the entire perimeter of the school’s City block location (approximately one mile of right-of-way) and collected over 200 pounds of garbage. The City would also like to thank the Adopt-a-Street program participants for taking the time during this past weekend and took care of the City’s right-of-way by conducting a cleanup on their adopted streets: The Brilhante-Prieto Family, Florida General Council and Doral Girl Scouts Troop 552. Together they collected more than 200 pounds of garbage.
