The City of Doral Kicks Off Holiday Series of Events!

Doral, FL – The City of Doral invites residents and members of the community to be a part of the Tree Lighting and Movie Night, at the City of Doral Government Center (8401 NW 53rd Ter). This is the first of a series of Holiday events. The celebration begins at  6:00 p.m. on Wednesday,  December 1st, with a special ceremony, featuring our guest of honor, Santa Claus. Dress in your festive holiday pajamas as we light up our Holiday Tree and the Doral Government Center with brilliant lights followed by a special screening of the Polar Express on the lawn. Admission and parking are free. Photos with Santa Claus will be available but require tickets. Tickets are limited and must be purchased prior to the event – purchase now on the City’s  Eventbrite ($5 per ticket).

The Holiday Series of Events continues with Light Up the Night on Thursday,  December 2nd,  6:00 p.m. at the City of Doral Government Center (8401 NW 53rd Ter). Join us to show your holiday pride as we light the menorah and recognize all our first responders for keeping us safe during the holidays and always! Raffles and light bites following the ceremony.

The holiday fun keeps going with the Holiday Celebration at the Park on Friday,  December 10th at Doral Meadow Park (11555 NW 58th St). A full night of entertainment for the family kicks off at  6:00 p.m., with activities that include inflatables, live-performances, and much more. The winner of the Gingerbread House Contest will also be crowned at this event! Join in on the festive holiday activity of making gingerbread houses and let your creativity shine. For this contest you can create your own gingerbread house from scratch OR use one of the kits provided by the City of Doral (while supplies last). Registration is mandatory to participate and is limited. Participants will be required to bring their house to Doral Meadow Park by  5:30 p.m. on December 10th to be considered for the contest. Admission and parking are free. This will be your last chance for photos with Santa Claus. Tickets are required and must be purchased prior to the event – purchase now on the City’s  Eventbrite ($5 per ticket).

The festivities culminate with a virtual Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus, airing  December 23rd-December 25th at  6:00 p.m. (story will be the same each night). Enjoy a cozy night at home with your loved ones and your favorite cookies for enchanted stories from the North Pole. To watch, tune into Doral TV Channel 77 or on the  City’s website.
