Update on Traffic Light Improvements

Many people may not know this, but all the traffic signals in Doral are owned and maintained by Miami- Dade County. This is the case with all municipalities. That is why collaboration is integral in adding these signals to make our streets safer and help alleviate traffic congestion. These traffic signals in key areas are currently in the works:

• NW 74 St. Traffic Signals at NW 102 Ave. and NW 97 Ave.:
  The project is being constructed in partnership with Miami-Dade County as a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA). The project’s Notice to Proceed was dated October 14, 2019. The Construction and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Permit approval from Miami-Dade County is still pending in order to commence construction. The project should be completed by April 2020 (weather permitting).
• NW 114 Ave. & NW 82 St. Traffic Signal:
  The project is currently in the final stages of design permitting with Miami-Dade County. The project was submitted for State funding. Construction timeframe of the project is contingent on the grant application.
• NW 50 St. & NW 112 Ave. Traffic Signal:
  Design is scheduled to commence in January 2020.
