Police Service Aide Academy

The Police Service Aide Academy Training is a limited admittance academy. The Police Service Aide Academy will prepare applicants for employment as Community Service Officers, Traffic Crash Investigators, and Parking Enforcement Specialists in accordance with Chapters 316.640 and 943, Florida Statute.

Courses topics include but are not limited to Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Parking Enforcement, Traffic Crash Investigation, First Aid, Vehicle Operation, Radio Communications, Report Writing, Traffic Control, Ethics, Crime Scene Investigation and much more. Simulated activities and applied skills compliment the classroom instruction.

In accordance with State Law, a student must pass the academy with a score of 80 percent to successfully complete the Academy. This a highly structured and disciplined program. Applicants must maintain excellent attendance and cannot miss more than 10 percent of scheduled class sessions.
